A GREAT WAY TO GET YOUR NEXT SAVYBOAT MODEL BEFORE ANYONE ELSE!
At SavyBoat.com, we strive to maintain a steady supply and inventory of our models, but sometimes models do become out of stock, especially our most popular models. Often our shipments arrive at our U.S. warehouse and are sold out before or soon after they are received. This makes it difficult for some of our customers to get the model they’ve wanted. As we know, this can be frustrating, and to ensure our customers have the best opportunity to get the incoming model they want, SAVYBOAT.COM has developed the SAVYBOAT PRE-ORDER PROGRAM.
Our team of master craftsmen is dedicated to the art of shipwright modeling. They are NOT focused on high production; they are focused on producing high-quality, handcrafted maritime models by hand that honor the legacies of the vessels they build and their crews that shaped our world.
As our models are handcrafted, we do not produce an unlimited quantity of any one model in a production batch. Instead, we limit our production quantities so we can maintain a better stock and a wider selection of model designs for our customers to choose from.
Our secure SAVYBOAT PRE-ORDER PROGRAM allows customers a way to get their favorite model as soon as it arrives at our U.S. Warehouse.
To reserve your model(s) on the pre-order program, a $100 creditable deposit is required for each model pre-ordered. The deposit reserves your model on a first-come, first-served basis for those models currently in production or inbound (in transit). The following policy explains how the SAVYBOAT PRE-ORDER PROGRAM works.
WHAT QUALIFIES FOR THE PRE-ORDER PROGRAM
A qualified pre‑order item is any SavyBoat product/model that is listed within the SavyBoat.com website and contains a “PRE-ORDER” button or tab in the product’s description page. Only items listed with this feature are eligible for the pre-order program. These products are verified “inbound” products and include:
- Products currently in production at our manufacturing facility, and/or
- Products currently in transit from our manufacturing facility to our U.S. warehouse, and have not yet been received into our U.S. warehouse
Pre‑ordering an item guarantees that a model from the inbound inventory is reserved specifically for the customer. These reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to the inbound production batch quantities. Reservations in excess of the inbound inventory will be applied to the next production run.
PRE-ORDER DEPOSIT
To place a pre‑order for an inbound model, a $100 creditable deposit is required. This deposit is:
- Used to reserve the customers’ place in the inbound production queue for the specific reserved item.
- Fully creditable toward the final purchase price of the inbound model
- Applied automatically to your remaining balance once the model arrives tour U.S. warehouse
- Can be cancelled at any time in accordance with the policies herein
A pre-order deposit ensures that the model is allocated for the customer before any item of a production batch becomes available to the general public and SavyBoat.com dealers.
REMAINING BALANCE PAYMENT
The full purchase price is shown on the product's description page along with the pre-order button or tab. When the customer’s model arrives at our warehouse, SAVYBOAT will send the customer a Balance Due Notification. This balance includes the purchase price and applicable taxes and shipping costs, minus the $100 pre-order deposit.
Upon receipt of the email notification, the customer has seven (7) calendar days to complete the remaining purchase for the order unless otherwise specified, or arranged with and authorized by SavyBoat.com. Upon receipt of the payment balance by SavyBoat, the order is immediately prepared and shipped to the buyer.
If the balance is not paid within seven (7) calendar days, the reservation may be cancelled and the reserved item/model released to the next customer in the inbound production queue.
PRODUCTION & ARRIVAL TIMES
All timelines listed on SavyBoat.com are estimates of current production schedules. Some things can affect these delivery estimates. These include, but are not limited to, Customs, supply chain disruptions, and/or other issues, and can cause delays in the production and/or delivery process. These types of situations are outside our control. We will update timelines on the product pages as new information becomes available, as time and resources allow.
SHIPPING
Upon arrival of the pre-ordered product/model to our U.S. Warehouse and the order’s remaining balance being paid in full by the customer, the pre-ordered model is prepared for immediate shipment to the customer. Orders containing any combination of in‑stock, layawayed, and/or pre‑ordered items, the items may be shipped and arrive separately.
CANCELLATIONS
Customer‑Initiated Cancellations
To protect the integrity of our production queue and artisan scheduling, deposits on customer‑initiated cancellations of pre-orders are non‑refundable, though the deposit may be transferred and credited towards the purchase of an available, in-stock product/model.
SavyBoat.com‑Initiated Cancellations
Should SavyBoat.com incur a significant impact on a specific product’s production schedule due to a supply chain or other issue, or if the model is discontinued for any reason where the model cannot be supplied as intended, SavyBoat will immediately notify the buyer, detailing the issue and offer options for the resolution of the deposit. The customer may request SavyBoat.com to:
- apply the cancelled pre-order deposit towards a SavyBoat.com gift certificate that is usable at any time towards a future purchase, layaway, or pre-order.
- credit the cancelled pre-order deposit towards the pre-order of another inbound product/model, or
- credit the cancelled pre-order deposit towards the purchase of an available, in-stock product/model, or
- refund the cancelled pre-order deposit in full to the original payment method in accordance with SavyBoat’s Refund policy and the applicable financial institution’s policies.
CUSTOMER NOTIFICATIONS
Upon placing a pre-order for a product/model, the buyer will be sent a Pre-order Confirmation email.
Upon arrival of the pre-ordered item to our U.S. Warehouse, the buyer will be notified and provided a Final Payment Invoice. Upon payment in full, the order will be immediately prepared and shipped to the buyer.
ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By placing a pre‑order for a product/model on SavyBoat.com, the buyer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined in this policy.
