RETURN ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATION

Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us at SavyBoat.com.  We stand behind the quality of every product we manufacture and sell.  Should there be a concern with a product, this policy describes the steps required to request a return, exchange, or credit.  By placing an order on the SavyBoat.com website, the customer agrees to the terms and policies outlined therein.

Customers may return an item at any time within 14 calendar days of its receipt.  All items require an issued Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from SavyBoat.com before the item’s return.  All items must meet ALL SavyBoat.com return guidelines, unless otherwise specified.  Items that do not meet these guidelines ARE NOT eligible for return or exchange, will not be issued an RMA, and will result in the request being closed without further notice or action. 

ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATION:

For an item to qualify for a return, the item MUST:  

  • be returned within 14 calendar days of the order delivery date.
  • be in brand-new, unopened, unused, original, undamaged condition, and include all original packaging, materials, and accessories. 

 NOTE: Undocumented damage incurred during the return process is the customer’s sole responsibility

  • be returned with all original packaging, tags, and accessories.
  • be returned unused, unworn, unwashed, and in their original new condition, if apparel.

All orders require an applicable RMA before the item’s return and must be accompanied by a proof of purchase (receipt). No exceptions.

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

Due to various health, safety, regulatory, and other policies, non-returnable items include, but are not limited to:

  • Personalized or custom-made apparel and/or decor
  • Custom-designed, specially commissioned models and/or decor
  • Used, washed, worn, torn, stained, etc., apparel
  • Promotional coupons and/or gift cards/certificates
  • Discounted, discontinued, clearance, as-is, and final-sale items
  • Special-ordered items

Non-returnable item sales are final and non-refundable, unless otherwise specified herein.

APPAREL AND SOFT GOODS:

Variations in item color, material blend, print location (when specified, such as front or back), sizing, and design size perspective with respect to apparel size, etc., are not considered defective. Items that have been worn and/or washed or contain damage from use, such as stains, abrasions, or rips, cannot be returned.

Items that are considered defective include faulty stitching of unworn AND unwashed garments, improper location of design ordered/specified by the customer (front or back, etc.), separation of printing from unworn AND unwashed garments, incorrect design, or incorrect color of garment (such as white when black was ordered), etc. 

RETURN MERCHANDISE AUTHORIZATION (RMA)

A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is required for the return or exchange of ALL items.  ALL packages must be clearly labeled with the appropriate RMA number.  If an RMA is needed for processing an applicable return/exchange, please contact us at HELPDESK@SAVYBOAT.COM with the order number and details about the product and reason for requesting a return.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

Orders may be canceled before they are shipped. Once an order has been processed or shipped, it must follow the standard return procedure.  DO NOT simply refuse a delivery because a cancellation was requested but not processed prior to the order’s shipment.   Orders/Shipments that are refused by the customer at delivery and/or returned for any reason other than authorized by applicable RMA will not be accepted and are non-returnable and non-refundable.  All expenses, including but not limited to taxes, duties, Customs fees, restock fees, brokerage fees, damage, and/or shipping charges, are the full responsibility of the customer and will be charged accordingly.  No exceptions

ITEMS WITH DAMAGED/MISSING PARTS:

All missing item claims must be reported to SavyBoat.com within four (4) calendar days of the order’s delivery.  Contact us at HELPDESK@SAVYBOAT.COM to report a missing item or component from an order. Please include the order’s tracking number, customer name, order number, description of the item, and its missing part, including the item (SKU) number.

Every item is inspected and verified to be undamaged before shipment.  All item packaging is inspected and verified to be undamaged and meet freight carrier requirements before transport. When receiving the item, the customer should inspect the shipment carefully for damage and freight carrier abuse.  In the unlikely event a shipment arrives at its destination with damage, the original shipping carton/shipping label must be retained by the customer intact.  Customers must contact SavyBoat.com within four (4) calendar days of delivery, so a claim can be filed with the applicable freight carrier immediately.  

If the item is visibly damaged within/inside a wooden crate or box, DO NOT continue to open the wooden crate or unpack the item further.  Please contact us at HELPDESK@SAVYBOAT.COM for further instructions.

DO NOT return any item without first following the instructions herein and obtaining the required RMA from SavyBoat.com.  Not doing so will delay resolution of the order discrepancy and may delay or void issuance of an RMA and /or eligibility for a credit or exchange.  

  • Customer must contact SavyBoat.com and report any discrepancy within four (4) calendar days of order delivery. Contacting us after this period voids all claims and eligibility for a credit or exchange. No exceptions.
  • Customer shall provide pictures of the discrepancy, via email, within two (2) calendar days of contacting us about this claim. No exceptions to this policy. Customer pictures shall include:
    • Images of all sides of the outside of the shipping box  
    • Close-up images of the shipping label with all tracking numbers and information.
    • Close-up images of any interior damage to the item, box, crate, or other packaging
    • Images of the box, crate, and item damage

Pictures are required by the shipping carriers when filing a claim.  Without pictures provided by the customer promptly, no claim can be filed, and the claim will be closed/denied without further action. 


Upon receipt of the customer's pictures and other needed information, SavyBoat.com will evaluate the discrepancy and review the claim accordingly. At the sole discretion of Savyboat.com, if SavyBoat.com deems the damage from shipping to the item to be: 

  • not repairable, an RMA may be issued for return of the model.  Upon the return of the model, a replacement will be shipped at no cost to the customer.  If the item to be replaced is not currently in stock the customer may request the order to be placed on backorder and await the replavement or a credit towards a different model that is in stock. 
  • "easily" repairable (such as a loose and/or dislodged and/or detached detail such as but not imited to a cannon, hatch, lifeboat, or other component(s), etc.), SavyBoat.com will provide parts, adhesive and instructions necessary for the customer to repair. This type of damage is not considered "Defective" and not eligible for return or credit.
  • Not be “easily repairable” (but “repairable”), SavyBoat.com may issue an RMA along with a return shipping label for return of the item so it can be professionally restored to new by our SavyBoat.com a master craftsman. This type of damage is not considered "Defective" and not eligible for return or credit. In this case, the customer MUST follow all instructions and MUST:
    • Secure any damaged item(s) or components in the original packaging, as it was packaged, including all paperwork, ties, parts, and accessories.
    • Wrap and secure larger loose parts carefully to protect them from further damage during the return shipping.
    • Bag any small or loose parts and carefully secure them in the package to protect them and the item from further damage during the return shipping.
    • Customer is responsible for previously undocumented item damage (PUID) caused to the item during its return.

Customers must ensure the returned item is securely packaged and labeled as described herein, with a copy of the original invoice and the RMA email authorizing the return.  SavyBoat.com is NOT responsible for any PUID caused in transit during any return. Customers are encouraged to purchase insurance for their return freight to cover any previously undocumented damage or loss caused during the item’s return.  Customer is responsible for return shipping costs, including insurance. unless otherwise specified by SSavyBoat.com.   All insurance claims due to return freight damage are the customer’s responsibility to file and process. 

SavyBoat.com does not accept COD or freight collect shipments or returns.  

When an item is received/returned in resalable, new, original, undamaged condition with no missing or damaged parts, SavyBoat.com will process a refund/credit per all applicable policies.  

All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee that will be subtracted from the item's refunded purchase price.  Original shipping and handling charges will also be deducted from any refunded purchase price for return items shipped with free shipping.  Costs to repair PUID caused during the return process are the customer's responsibility and will be charged against any refund or credit accordingly.  Domestic customer-provided/paid, International, and Dealer shipping and handling costs are non-refundable. 

SavyBoat.com reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions, herein.  Refunds will be processed to the original payment method.  The entire processing time to complete the refund or credit depends on the issuing bank or payment gateway policies.

Failure to follow the return/exchange instructions herein voids all return/exchange eligibility and/or refund/credit.

POLICY CHANGES & UPDATES

These policies may be revised and/or updated without notice.  Policy changes will appear, herein, upon revision.  Policy changes will apply only to order discrepancies received after the revision date of the change.  The most current version will always be available on this web page.
