At times, we may use pixel tags – tiny graphic images – to help us better understand what parts of our website are being visited or to measure the effectiveness of any searches that may be taking place therein. Pixel tags have many uses that can help us better serve our customers’ needs.

The SavyBoat.com website is not intended for, nor caters to, individuals under the age of 13 years old.  We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.  Further, we do not knowingly solicit data from, nor knowingly market our products specifically to, children.  SavyBoat.com requires all individuals under the age of 18 who use our website and our services to do so in conjunction with their applicable parent(s) or legal guardian(s).

SavyBoat.com employs a variety of technologies and processes for the protection of our customers’ personal and non-personal information against loss, misuse, alteration, and fraud. However, as no electronic, internet data transmission is completely secure, we cannot completely guarantee or be held liable for the security of customer data.  

Our Website Security Policy establishes the security standards used to protect customer data, payment information, and business systems associated with online transactions.  It strives to ensure shoppers can trust the safety, integrity, and reliability of the SavyBoat.com e-commerce platform.

To protect financial information, SavyBoat.com performs all payment processing through PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateways.  SavyBoat.com does not store full credit card numbers, CVV codes, or magnetic‑stripe data.  Fraud‑prevention tools (AVS, CVV verification, risk scoring) are employed to detect suspicious activity.  All payment data is encrypted end‑to‑end during checkout.

ACCOUNT SECURITY:

To protect customer accounts and associated information, SavyBoat.com may employ Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA).  We employ automated monitoring, which can detect unusual login activity.  SavyBoat.com encourages customers to use unique, strong, and secure passwords and not to share account information with others. 

PLATFORM & APPLICATION SECURITY:

SavyBoat.com maintains a secure e-commerce environment through regular updates to the e-commerce platform, plugins, and integrations.  Additionally, they employ secure coding practices to prevent SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, and other vulnerabilities, as well as perform routine penetration testing and vulnerability scanning.

INVENTORY, ORDER & FULFILLMENT SECURITY:

To protect business operations, SavyBoat.com ensures all order data is stored securely and accessible only to authorized personnel.  All fraudulent or high‑risk orders are flagged for manual review by SavyBoat.com IT Security.  All inventory systems are monitored for unauthorized access or manipulation.

MONITORING & LOGGING:

Savyboat.com continuously monitors our e-commerce platform for many events, including but not limited to, unauthorized access attempts, suspicious transactions, and system errors or anomalies.  Logs are stored securely and retained only as long as necessary for security and compliance.

If a security incident occurs, SavyBoat.com immediately investigates and contains any issue or anomaly.  Should a customer data breach occur, SavyBoat.com will notify affected customers, as required by law, and work with payment processors and security partners to resolve the incident. 

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customers play a role in maintaining security by protecting their account credentials and using strong, unique passwords.  Additionally, customers are encouraged to report suspicious account activity and/or unauthorized transactions, and to keep their devices and browsers updated.

POLICY CHANGES & UPDATES

These policies may be revised and/or updated to reflect new security practices, legal requirements, and/or ecommerce platform changes, without notice.  Policy changes will appear, herein, upon revision.  Policy changes will apply only to information collected after the revision date of the change.  The most current version will always be available on this web page.
