Vasa: The Warship That Waited 333 Years to Tell Her Story

She was meant to be the pride of a rising empire — a floating symbol of Sweden’s growing power in the early 17th century. Ordered by King Gustavus Adolphus during a time when Sweden was transforming from a poor northern kingdom into a dominant Baltic force, Vasa was built to project strength, ambition, and royal prestige.
