Carnival Legend is a Spirit‑class cruise ship launched in 2002 and known for its high percentage of ocean‑view and balcony staterooms, early specialty dining options, and Carnival’s first onboard wedding chapel. After debuting with Carnival’s first European cruise, she went on to sail a wide range of itineraries across Europe, the Caribbean, Australia, the Pacific Islands, and Alaska. Her career has included several notable incidents, including sudden listing events in 2005 and 2016, an engine‑room overheating episode, a tragic passenger suicide in 2006, and multiple mechanical problems—most significantly a 2013 Azipod failure that disrupted several voyages. She has also been involved in two collisions in Cozumel (2009 and 2019) and was the site of a widely publicized series of brawls during a 2018 South Pacific cruise. Despite these challenges, Carnival Legend has remained a long‑serving and widely traveled ship within the Carnival fleet.

Along with the majority of her sisters Carnival Spirit and Carnival Pride, she is owned by Carnival Corporation  and operated by Carnival Cruise Line. Built by Helsinki New Shipyard in Finland, she was floated out on December 17, 2001, and christened by English actress and author Dame Judi Dench in Harwich, Essex, UK, on August 21, 2002. Her maiden voyage, Carnival’s first cruise in Europe, was a three night journey from Harwich to Amsterdam and return.

Eighty percent of Carnival Legend’s staterooms have ocean views and eighty percent of those have private balconies. She was the first Carnival ship to offer alternative dining options and an onboard wedding chapel.

Now you can get this beautiful model in your own home or office. You can find many details of the model such as: All windows, doors, and portholes are cut out precisely thanks to hand-built hollow superstructure and hull; Open promenade decks visible through superstructure windows; Lattice grating on ducts and vents; Detail lifeboats hung from launching davits; Delicate railings on forecastle, aft castle and top superstructure; Rigging and stay-lines on all masts and smokestacks. Furthermore, we applied multi-layered paint to match the color of the real ship.
