Launched in 2008, the crude oil tanker EVITA represents the generation of midā2000s Aframax/Suezmaxārange tankers built for efficiency, durability, and steady service on highāvolume regional trade routes. With a gross tonnage of 62,856 and a deadweight of 115,462 tonnes, she measures 249.99 meters in length and 44.03 meters in beam, giving her the broad, stable footprint typical of modern crude carriers designed for coastal and nearāocean operations. Built for heavy cargoes and consistent turnaround, EVITA has spent nearly two decades in active service, adapting to shifting trade flows across East Asia and the Russian Far East.
Sailing today under the flag of Cameroon, EVITA is managed by the Southport group, operating primarily between Russian export terminals and major Chinese crudeāreceiving ports. Her propulsion and hull form support an average service speed of around 11.6 knots, with a recorded maximum of 16.6 knots, aligning her with the performance profile of contemporary Aframaxāclass tankers optimized for fuel economy rather than speed.
Her recent operational history reflects the evolving energy corridors of the region. In May 2025, EVITA called at Nakhodka, Russia, conducting shipātoāship (STS) operations offshore before departing on May 31. Prior to that, she visited Dongjiakou, China, and anchored at Kozmino, one of Russia’s key crude export points on the Sea of Japan. These movements illustrate her role in the steady shuttle trade between Russian Far East loading zones and Chinese refining hubs.
As of June 2026, AIS data places EVITA on a voyage from Dongjiakou to Yingkou, continuing her pattern of East Asia–Russia crude transport. Her track lines show a consistent rhythm: Kozmino, Nakhodka, Dongjiakou, Yingkou—ports that form the backbone of the region’s shortāhaul crude logistics.
Though details of her ownership structure, classification society, and P&I coverage sit behind commercial data services, EVITA’s long service life and consistent deployment suggest a vessel that has been well maintained and kept in active rotation. She remains a reliable link in the modern petroleum supply chain, moving crude oil between some of the busiest and most strategically important ports in the Pacific basin.
From her commissioning in 2008 to her presentāday operations, EVITA stands as a representative example of the workhorse crude carriers that keep regional energy flows moving—quiet, steady, and essential to the maritime infrastructure of East Asia.
